Under destination 3 of Horizon Europe Health Calls: Tackling diseases and reducing disease burden, focuses on implementation research for the management of multiple long-term conditions (MLTC NCD) in low and middle-income countries (LMICs) and/or disadvantaged populations in high-income countries (HICs). Proposals should focus on implementation science around interventions that will generate evidence about when, for whom, and under what circumstances, patient-centred approaches can improve integrated care for patients with MLTC NCD.
The total indicative budget for the topic is €20 million. The Commission estimates that an EU contribution of between €3 million and €4 million would allow these outcomes to be addressed appropriately.
Strategies and/or tools (e.g., digital tools) that optimize appropriate medication and (non-pharmacological) therapeutic prescribing, adherence, and/or reduced drug interactions/adverse effects, or clinical decision-making are envisaged as well.
Any legal entity, regardless of its profit/non-profit status or annual turnover, established in an EU Member State, HE associated country, or the United States of America, may receive Union funding.
